Here are selected unused scenes, moments, and/or camera angles from Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. The main references used are: the novelization by James Khan; the Marvel Comics movie adaptation; two unauthorized screenplays, both stated as being the second draft and dated September 21, 1981 and December 19, 1982 respectively; and the "public draft" as published in The Art of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. A third draft (the shooting script), dated December 1, 1981, is currently unreleased. The primary goal of this section is to display all unused plot points that are known or believed to have been committed to film for Episode VI. Other unfilmed "shooting script" elements are included as well, supported by production and comic book art or other non-photographic means. The use of italicized text is to indicate variance between the textual reference material and the final film.
